Land Ocean New American Grill is an upscale restaurant and lounge located in Meridian. We feature hand cut premium steaks, fresh seafood, rotisserie, fresh salads, sandwiches, Kobe style burgers and more! Our growing restaurant group has additional locations in Northern California and Nevada. Our concepts include Land Ocean New American Grill, Sienna Modern American Restaurant and South Fork Grille. We have received many awards for quality food and service including "Best Restaurant". At Land Ocean we are dedicated to a fresh high quality menu with hand crafted cocktails, extensive wine lists, craft beers and amazing upscale-casual ambiance with friendly professional service. We currently have 7 restaurants in our growing restaurant group. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. We seek individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit excellent at problem solving, financial accountability, communication, leading people, creating a strong culture and have a passion for amazing consistent food and providing the best guest experience!
Responsibilities include:
*Ensuring proper execution of kitchen operations and systems
*Monitoring the kitchen team's performance, product quality and production flow
*Running the expo line during peak times
*The ability to cook and teach when needed
*The ability to properly butcher high quality proteins
*Proper Ordering & Weekly Inventory
*Hiring & retaining quality staff through providing a strong culture
*An ability to follow budgeted labor and food cost goals
*Ensuring compliance with health, safety and sanitation standards
The ideal candidate possess the following:
+Strong management and leadership skills
+Team oriented
+Possess a work ethic that seeks to exceed guest expectations
+Has a positive and professional coaching style that motivates others
+Executive Chef experience in a high volume restaurant (2 years minimum)
+Strong Kitchen presence and take ownership mentality
