• Assists in the orientation of the new participant, responsible for the initial assessment of the participant and assists in the development of the plan of care.

• Supervises exercise session, monitoring participant for inappropriate responses to exercise. Responsible for blood pressure check and watching for abnormal responses on the telemetry devise.

• Documents services provided and patient response/progress.

• Leads education session in the areas of exercise.

• Checks and documents emergency supplies and equipment for proper function and adequate supply. Participates in emergency drills. Reports equipment malfunction

• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education, Biology, Nursing, or other related field required.
• Master's Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education, Biology, Nursing, or other related field preferred.

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

• Telemetry, Meditech

Qualifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• ACSM CEP required.
• Must have Clinical Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sport Medicine within 12 months of hire date.
• One year of experience working with a high-volume health and fitness facility or health system preferred.
