Our inpatient facility houses 12 clients who receive specialized and personal care from our staff. 15 acres, located in scenic Bangor. Opportunity for advancement and merit raises.

Position available : Saturday-Wednesday day shift ( this position Is unique in that the housekeeping will be 2 days a week and facility cook is 3 days a week)

Hourly: $20-$25

Job Description:

The role of the Facility Cook/ Environmental Services will be responsible for providing meals for the clients and live-in staff while maintaining kitchen compliance by following policies and procedures of Sierra Health and Wellness LLC and governing agencies. The Facility Cook/ Environmental Services will also maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized environment to ensure facilities are well stocked, organized, and sanitary.

Essential Functions:

• Check temps in all refrigerators and freezers where client food is stored
• Maintain sanitation in kitchen(s) and all other food storage areas to proper health code requirements
• Implement and maintain a food prep schedule
• Provide a weekly menu for meals being served on a weekly basis
• Budget, purchase and inventory all food/kitchen items
• Engage in proper and safe food storage after each meal and date the items
• Secure kitchen tools/knives properly and safely
• Follow the food pyramid to ensure nutrition
• Follow Food Handler’s regulations for proper food preparation, temperatures, and cook-times.
• Maintain all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products; ensure safe and sanitary storage and care of products
• Perform general sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping of floors
• In charge treatments such as stain-removal as needed
• Dispose of trash from bins and containers
• Dust and polish furniture and room accessories as needed
• Scrub sinks and toilets in bathrooms
• Clean windows, mirrors, and counters as needed
• Keeps all public spaces neat and tidy
• Sanitize all doorknobs, counters, and hard surfaces
• Report repairs and replacements needed when encountered
• Keeps inventory of needed supplies
• Completes all facility laundry
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must have Food Handler’s Certificate
• Possess CPR/First Aid certification. (Can be obtained upon hire)
• Current TB test and health screen. (Can be obtained upon hire)
