The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented team player who will be able to support multiple attorneys by drafting/filing correspondence and legal pleadings, transcribing dictation, managing attorney calendars, contacting and corresponding with clients, and performing legal research. The best candidates will also have experience working in a family law firm and in billing their time. While the firm handles matters in a wide variety of practice areas, this position will deal mainly with Family Law.
Responsibilities:
- Draft pleadings and correspondence
- Preparing answers to interrogatories and other discovery
- Preparing Divorce CIS statements
- Manage attorney calendars
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Act as a point of contact for clients
- Perform administrative office tasks
- Assist clients in drafting answers to discovery requests
- Transcribe dictation and format documents
- Keep meticulous track of deadlines
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, relevant work experience, and/or Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies from an ABA approved program
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and PC Law or other similar attorney accounting software.
