Joe’s Brook Farm is hiring for the 2023 season!

We’re looking for general crew members to help us out with various operations around the farm, including production, packout, and delivery.

Seasonal full-time and part-time positions are available.

Tasks may include:

• Seeding new plants.
• Weeding and cultivating in the fields.
• Assisting with harvesting produce.
• Washing greens and other veggies in the washroom.
• Packing out produce for wholesale, CSA, and markets.
• Making deliveries to our partner restaurants and markets.
• Helping us maintain and build positive relationships with our clients and customers in our community.

Requirements:

• Valid drivers license.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds consistently.
• Comfortable working in both warm and cold environments for extended periods of time. (It can get toasty in the fields and greenhouses, and chilly in our walk-in cooler!)

Compensation:

• Hourly pay dependent on experience.
• Joe’s Brook Farm CSA (a huge basket of fresh produce every week from May 9 through Nov. 14 - an $872 value!)

About Joe’s Brook Farm:
Joe’s Brook Farm is an organic vegetable farm located in Barnet, VT. We started in 2009 with a small tomato greenhouse and oversized garden; today, we grow on 15 acres to supply fresh produce to the greater NEK and White Mountain regions through our CSA, farmers markets, farmstand, and partner grocery stores and restaurants.

Eric and Mary Skovsted own and run the farm, with occasional help from their young daughters Anna and Harriet, and Mary’s mom Marcelle. Ronaldo, Delvin, and Godfrey are our primary field crew, who come up from Jamaica to live on our farm during the busiest seasons. The rest of our crew is made up of awesome people in the area who are passionate about local, organic agriculture and excited about providing fresh, nutritious food to our community!

Pay: From $13.25 per hour
