OVERVIEW: The primary purpose and function of this position is to provide preventative maintenance and repair services at customer locations in accordance with established procedures and methods using appropriate tools, test equipment, and replacement parts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide service to customers in accordance with all of Handicare’s terms and conditions
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and all Handicare’s employees
- Accurately identifies customer expectations and needs
- Recommend products and services based on observed customer needs
- Participate in all training programs and demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and concepts obtained from these training programs
- Prepare and submit accurate reports on time
- Maintain expenses and required inventory within Handicare’s guidelines
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
- Responsible for regular maintenance and cleanliness of vehicle
- Accountable for tools provided
- Ability for heavy lifting (75-100lbs) is required
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Commitment to providing superior customer service
- Previous experience in the health care industry an asset
- Other duties as required.

Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

DUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
- 2-4 years hands-on related technical experience
- High school diploma
- Ability to operate a mobile phone, PC, Microsoft Office applications
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES OR REGISTRATIONS:
- Valid driver's license in good standing
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required. AutoCAD Inventor and Revit Building software knowledge and experience would be an asset.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- The employee may occasionally stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch during shift. Employee will be required to regularly sit, use hand to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms. Employee must be able to occasionally lift and or move up to 100 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This position works in an environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
TRAVEL:
- This position requires travel. Must be able to commit to overnight travel.
