PrimeSource Building Products, Inc., has an immediate opportunity for aFinancial Analyst within the Financial Planning & Analysis team located at the Irving, Texascorporate office.
FP&A Financial Analyst will report to a Manager of FP&A and will serve as a key member within the corporate and field finance teams. As a key member of the Finance team, the Analyst will have a high-level of exposure to senior executives and frequently interact with others cross-functionally within the organization.

Responsibilities:
- Lead model builder for Anaplan, acting as admin for forecast and consolidations models
- Prepares and analyzes financial performance on weekly and monthly basis to identify key trends and variances
- Develops and maintains financial and operational dashboards and key performance metrics
- Assists with preparation of annual operating plan (budget) and with monthly financial forecasting process, helping to improve the accuracy of budgets/forecasts
- Collaborates on monthly reporting package to executive management by analyzing performance versus key benchmarks and progress towards company goals / initiatives
- Performs revenue and expense analysis related to product lines, customer types and location
- Works with Sales and Operations management team to develop short and long-term plans to improve performance of the business.
- Creates ad-hoc analysis to assist in special projects
- Assists with the monthly financial closing process as needed
Qualifications:
- Four-year degree in Finance / Accounting or other quantitative related field, including but not limited to, Economics, Math, Statistics, Data Science/Analytics and Engineering
- 1+ years related work experience with exposure to financial forecasting, variance analysis and information systems
- Understanding of basic business, finance, and accounting concepts
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships across the organization, influence others and present to individuals or groups
- Intellectually curious with a desire to learn, think independently and take action
Skills & Tools:
- Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills (expert ability with pivot tables and advanced formulas is required; macros, Visual Basic and more is a plus)
- Exposure to advanced data analytic tools and processes such as Alteryx, Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, ETL, or other relevant data mining / analytic / visualization tools
- Ability to manipulate and analyze financial data and present findings in coherent and effective manner
- High level of technical skills; comfortable learning new systems and reporting / BI tools
- Exposure to SAP / BPC / BOBJ is a plus
- Comfortable using Microsoft PowerPoint to communicate and present findings
