Primary Function:
Reporting to the Manager of FP&A, this is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team of analysts in the high-growth CEA industry (Controlled Environment Agriculture). The candidate should be highly organized, analytical, detail-oriented and extraordinarily passionate about building data driven solutions to business problems. The Financial Analyst position will help us discover information hidden in vast amounts of data and help us make smarter decisions.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Support Category and Sales Leadership with Decision Support Solutions
- Category Management is responsible for full P&L, sales, margin, growth and strategy of designated product categories
- Continue to Develop the analytical backbone of supply & demand, through current and new analytical / business intelligence tools
- Drive Budgets and Forecasts for sales team
- Design, manage, and run customized reporting for category directors, executive
- Organize, prepare, and maintain large, complex datasets for analysis to drive price and margin optimization
- Help the evolution of a results oriented and robust category management strategy
- Implement robust data visualization to support analytical objectives
- Integrate and Develop simulation and modeling tactics
- Ensure category objectives align with corporate objectives
- Work with and support corporate development team with modeling and assumption support
- Support strategic planning, demand management, supply management, performance management
- Must thrive at working collaboratively with Category Directors to achieve category goals
- Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance
- Leverage analytical insights to develop actionable items for improvement
- Establish and maintain measurable performance metrics for all levels of category management activities
- Use data sources to develop regular and ad hoc reports to include out of stock, opportunity gap, SKU rationalization, promotion analysis, pricing studies, market studies, financial performance
- Communicate effectively throughout the organization
Education/Background Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, concentration in business, finance, commerce, mathematics, computer science or analytics preferred
- MBA, Analytics or relevant master’s degree preferred
- Related work or internship experience required
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Advanced Excel skills with experience in building and maintaining complex financial models
- Ability to be highly organized to handle multiple priorities
- Working knowledge of Software systems
- Experience with ERPs and exposure to Business Intelligence Tools
- Ability to think through the impact of master data on analysis
- Proven interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a diverse environment with sensitivity and respect
- Participate in multiple projects and tasks, with constantly changing priorities and evolving issues
- Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential issues with discretion
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to a variety of audiences
- Proactively manage conflict in sensitive situations
- Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
- A strong desire to learn and to continuously improve
- Attention to detail, highly organized, and willing to work with vast types of data
- Strong business and financial acumen with an analytical mind, and ability to address key opportunities to express the story

- A strong customer service mindset, as the category directors are the analysts’ main “customers”.
Working Conditions:
- Typical office environment.
- Some travel between work locations domestic and international required (Kingsville, Ontario).

Required- Bachelors or better in Finance or related field
