Lead Equipment Maintenance Mechanic

General Description

Under limited supervision, perform daily work that is assigned by shop supervisor but not limited to and may be required to explain instructions and plan work activities. Helps coordinate movement of materials and equipment to work locations. Completes and reviews records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various cleanup activities. Job may require moderate to heavy lifting. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.

Specific Description include but not limited to:

• Assess vehicles and equipment to accurately diagnose needed repairs.
• Perform needed repairs associated with different vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine service and inspections.
• Daily document time and service /maintenance performed.
• Keep work area / shop clean and organized.
• Wear required PPE specific to different locations on plant site.

Equipment description but not limited to: forklift, half to one-ton trucks, vans, aerial equipment, generators, light towers, sweepers, scrubbers, utility carts and snow removal equipment.
