JOB SUMMARY:

The Fleet Mechanic handles light repairs and vehicle upfitting for the company. This includes the procurement of parts; movement and inspection of vehicles; scheduling vehicles for service; and coordinating with fleet-related vendors. He/she will also install shelving and manage upfitting of vehicles. This person will also ensure vehicles are properly issued to employees and manage vehicle keys.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Stocking of parts
• Installing shelving or upfitting of vehicles
• Movement and inspection of vehicles
• Scheduling vehicles for service
• Managing vehicle keys
• Simple repairs
• Other vehicle tasks as required

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Previous experience in light repairs and/or vehicle upfitting
• Previous work experience in a shop environment
• Effective organizational and time management skills
• High school diploma or training in the automotive field/technical certification from an accredited organization
• ASE certifications are a plus, but not required (again, this is a very basic, entry-level automotive position)

Helios' compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $20.00 an hour in our lowest geographic market up to $26.00 an hour in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Helios compensation may also include annual bonus, commissions, equity, sign-on payments, as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
