Front Desk Manager Job at Center For Dermatology Pllc
General Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for delivering excellent Customer Service by extending friendly and welcoming greetings in-person and on the phone.
- Checking in patients to include:
- Capturing all intake paperwork and update practice management systems
- Collecting and requesting any patient balances, co-payments, co-insurances and/or deductibles, and applying monies to accounts.
- Scanning insurance cards, inputting authorizations and referrals.
- Checking out patients to include:
- Scheduling any follow up appointments with various specialties
- Collecting or requesting any patient balances, co-payments, co-insurances and/or deductibles, and applying monies to accounts.
- End of day balancing
- Preparing patient charts daily to include:
- Verifying copayment, coinsurance and deductibles
- Verifying insurance eligibility, referrals, and authorizations
- Educating patients and respond to patient questions in office/on phone as needed
- Scheduling patients for new/returning/follow-up appointments that will also include rescheduling, no-shows, and confirmations.
- Other duties as assigned
This position is located in our Glendale office.
Job Qualifications
- Quality written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum two-three years' experience in a doctor's office.
- Prior dermatology office
- Quality mathematics skills
- Knowledgeable of medical dermatology terms/CPT, ICD-9 and 10.
- Professional in appearance and mannerisms
- Able to work as part of a team
- Able to demonstrate compassion and care in dealing with patients and co-workers alike
- Able to discuss products and services offered
- Able to prioritize tasks, understand the provider’s instructions, and know when to seek information or advice
- Valid Driver's License
