WORK SCHEDULE:

Full-Time. The Full Stack / Android Developermust be available to work additional hours as deemed necessary for adequate deliverable care of services.

SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack / Android Developer preferably with both Front end and Back End development experience. Experience with CSPro product suite is also a plus. Requires a developer who can hit the ground running and help us develop and improve the core part of our product suite. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies as part of this product development team. The candidate will help improve the CSPro language compiler, runtime engine, and building Web Assembly libraries. The successful candidate must have extensive experience in building applications using C++. A plus would include experience developing Android applications using Android Studio, Kotlin, Java, and Android NDK. Full-stack web development experience using LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, Python), Java, or other technologies is also preferred.

The salary range may be up to $137,000, depending on experience. This position is remote.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides support in making enhancements to an existing REST API architecture and a Dashboard web application developed on LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, Python).
• Participates in testing and migration activities to upgrade current CSPro software.
• Provides in-line code documentation and produce design and system documents as specified in the Census Software Development Life Cycle model as work progresses.
• Supports unit testing of system components with traceability from the test cases, through design, and to user requirements.
• Participates in code and peer reviews, as well as formal walkthroughs.
• Assists federal employees in developing new User Interface (UI) widgets (capture GPS, photo, multimedia, barcode scanning), mapping integration using Google Maps SDK or similar API and other UI enhancements.
• Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Security Clearance: the employee must obtain an NCIC III favorably adjudicated Tier 1 background investigation.
• It is preferred to have 5 to 7 years of related experience with database, middleware, and front-end development and developing Android applications or an equivalent combination of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
• Must be proficient in developing Android applications.
• Must have expertise with database, middleware, and application support & troubleshooting.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Should have experience with both front-end languages (HTML/JavaScript/XML) and back-end coding languages (C#/Java/Python/Angular).
• Familiarity with database design is necessary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, using hands/ fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, speaking or translating. Periods of walking, standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting equipment weighing up to 30 pounds. Moderate to extended periods of office work with heavy periods of computer usage. May be assigned occasional to moderate periods of analytical tasks requiring extensive reasoning abilities.
