We are looking for a Full-Time Retail Sales Associate for our Santa Fe, New Mexico retail store who will be passionate about our line of quality products and interested in working within a collaborative environment. This role is responsible for driving sales by creating a great customer experience.

The retail store is located in the thriving historic Railyard District, just a block away from the Rail Runner stop on South Guadalupe Street in Santa Fe, NM. We offer competitive pay, great benefits, and a generous discount on merchandise.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The right person for Peruvian Connection will be willing to develop in-depth product knowledge so they can provide it to our customers. They will understand how to identify customer needs, match our products with those needs, finalize the sale, and begin a lasting relationship with the customer. They will also be responsible for assisting with merchandise arrival and arrangement, and overall tidiness of the store environment.

A GREAT APPLICANT ALSO:

• Has at least one year of luxury retail experience.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with customers and colleagues. Adjusts communication to fit the audience and the message.
• Takes personal responsibility for their schedule, actions, and decisions. Shares credit for successes and mistakes, when appropriate, and in a collaborative manner.
• Understands the importance of being punctual and present. Uses time wisely, completing tasks throughout the shift while still delivering excellent customer service.
• Is eager to learn about products, fibers, processes, and technology. Listens, asks questions, and retains knowledge. Is competent with basic math and accurate with details, such as reconciling invoices to merchandise.

Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

BENEFITS OFFERED FOR PART-TIME EMPLOYEES: Paid Time Off (PTO):

• Pro-rated sick leave available for all part-time employees.
• Holiday pay of 4 hours for each observed holiday. Peruvian Connection observes six major holidays.
• Plus, one 4-hour floating holiday awarded each year.
• Part-time employees not eligible to accrue vacation pay.

• Employee Discount: Part-time employees are eligible for the full employee discount from first day of employment.
• Employee Assistance Program: Part-time employees are eligible to utilize the Employee Assistance Program on their first day of employment.
• 401k: Part-time employees are eligible to contribute to the 401k after 30 days of employment. Once employees reach the 1000 hours worked and one (1) full year of employment requirement, employees are eligible to participate and can receive employer contributions on the plan entry date.
