ACCEL Schools is seeking highly-qualified Virtual School Psychologists in Ohio who are dedicated to providing a superior education for all students for our 2023-2024 school year! Gateway Online Academy of Ohio is a Tuition-Free Virtual Public School that serves at-risk high school students through Dropout Prevention and Credit Recovery Program. ACCEL Schools uses a cutting-edge 21st-century curriculum, which can be accessed online and through a variety of traditional methods.

The Licensed School Psychologist conducts comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations; consults with school personnel and parents regarding planning, implementing and evaluating individual and group interventions; and functions as a member of the building-based Student Support Team in providing services to students. This is a virtual position, but in-office work will be required throughout the year.

Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual psychoeducational evaluations for students 9 through 12 according to federal, state, and school guidelines
• Familiarity with evaluation tools
• Complete Initial Evaluation and Re-evaluations
• Complete Assessment Plans, RORs/REEDs, and FBAs
• Provide virtual administration of cognitive and achievement assessments following best practice tele-assessment standards
• Conduct other portions of the evaluation, including interviews and virtual observations, adaptive behavior, social/emotional behavior, and executive functioning assessments
• Integrate assessment results into a comprehensive evaluation report and submit paperwork as needed.
• Present evaluation findings at ETR meetings and collaborate with school teams regarding eligibility determination.
• Excellent knowledge of principles and evidence-based practices
• Participating in training and meetings as needed
• Attend ETR/RETR meetings to discuss results of assessments

Skills/Qualifications

• Master's Degree or Ed.S degree
• Professional Ohio License
• Proficiency with computers and online documentation skills
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and exhibit sound judgment while maintaining that confidentiality
• Demonstrates a reliable, dependable, and trustworthy work ethic
• Ability to manage difficult or emotional client situations
• Ability to make sound judgments after all available information has been gathered or communicated
• Demonstrates a mature attitude and insight into matters affecting department, self and / or company welfare
• Demonstrated leadership and management ability
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
