Here’s what You will do:
  • Perform regular site safety and security checks and daily safety & measurement readings as required.
  • Perform regular gauging and inspection of tanks using steel gauge and Saab gauging system.
  • Operate and troubleshoot the necessary valves, samplers, metering, and proving systems to complete product deliveries or receipts.
  • Connect with appropriate control center, shipper and connecting carrier personnel to exchange vital information.
  • Acquire or coordinate appropriate line and tank samples and perform required laboratory testing of products.
  • Complete and ensure the accuracy of all ticketing, proving reports and logging of equipment accuracy checks.
  • Perform integrity testing of Gauger lab and other necessary testing equipment to ensure oil measurement.
  • Understand and follow all safety requirements relative to the performance of duties.
  • Complete required Performance Based Training forms detailing the process of learning and the ability to independently perform Gauger tasks.
  • Become Operator Qualified on all required covered tasks prior to performing work independently and oversee those not qualified when required.
  • Coordinate and assist with material deliveries and offloading.
  • Provide emergency response for Terminal (oil spill and fire response).
Who You are:
  • High school diploma accompanied by the basic understanding and use of computers.
  • A valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
  • Ability to acquire a CDL Class B Driver's License with air brakes, hazardous materials, and tank vehicle endorsements.
  • General knowledge of hydraulics and construction or technical background would be preferred.
  • positive attitude and a strong math aptitude.
Working Conditions:
Work is scheduled in 12-hour shifts (days and nights) and includes climbing tanks and physically demanding work
Physical Requirements:
Include but are not limited to: Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying ( up to 53 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects 72 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
