Manager, Data Analytics and Reporting
The Data Analytics and Reporting Manager will direct the planning and implementation of all data governance, reporting, and analytics initiatives within the Operations Team. The Operations Team includes Human Capital, Technology, Finance, and Marketing and Communications. The Data Analytics and Reporting Manager will work across the organization at both a strategic and hands-on level while demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively with all levels and while driving a sense of urgency in the execution of people data initiatives and deliverables with a high level of quality output. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-pasted environment that requires direct hands-on execution and an ability to manage multiple in-flight initiatives. We will look to this individual to introduce and employ approaches, deliverables and systems that are consistent with current market trends, appropriate to each function, and consistent with the firm’s culture. This role will report to the Director of Strategy and Operations.
The Opportunity
Geller & Company is on the verge of building a new Data Analytics and Reporting capability. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to join the team on the ground floor of a bottoms-up, multi-year build out of this function. This role is suited for a candidate with an appetite to lead a high-impact initiative with significant strategic importance and visibility to senior leadership. Candidates with an interest in applying industry best practices to shape a leading function from scratch will find this role appealing.
Your Impact:
Strategy & Planning:
  • Developing the Data Analytics and Reporting function to achieve business goals by fostering innovation and coordinating the evaluation and management of all current and future people-focused reporting and analytics initiatives across the organization
  • Leading the development of new reporting and analytics programs and processes while ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Providing input into and tracking of the annual operating budget for all reporting and analytics programs. Assessing cost/benefit for program spending and recommending program enhancements
  • Providing input into organizational structures that support the needs of the business, contain appropriate talent levels, are right-sized for the respective business and operational teams and are positioned to support a high-touch culture
  • Establishing short-term and long-term goals for the Data Analytics and Reporting function, as well as operating procedures. Ensuring team is continually evaluated, developed and trained
Operational Design & Management:
  • Developing end-to-end processes that support a modern, engaging, and satisfying experience for all staff in the area of business and operating metrics and analytics
  • Further develop and deliver business and operating analytics and metrics to business and operations leaders to raise engagement levels and deliver enhanced efficiencies for the Data Analytics and Reporting function
  • Partnering with the requisite vendors to ensure effective management and collaboration (including vendor selection, contract administration, service level agreements, etc.)
Leadership & Management:
  • Leading day-to-day production and operation of Data Analytics and Reporting deliverables
  • Partnering with the Director of Strategy and Operations and Business and Operations Leaders to drive ongoing production of business and operating metrics, analytics, and deliverables, and the execution of new initiatives
  • Partnering with the Director of Strategy and Operations and Business and Operations Leaders to establish goals, budgets and communicate ongoing status of key analytics and reporting initiatives
  • Partnering with Business and Operations Leaders to solicit input on new data analytics and reporting initiatives and build consensus behind recommended approaches
  • Partnering with stakeholders at all levels to define new analytical capabilities and craft new ways to embed data insights into the regular course of business
  • Supporting the Director of Strategy and Operations in ad-hoc strategic initiatives, as needed
What you’ll offer:
  • Minimum 5 - 8 years of experience in a managerial and/or individual contributor role involving analytics / reporting
  • Experience working in an Accounting or Finance industry needed. Highly prefer experience from a financial services or professional services environment
  • A demonstrated track record of success developing and applying quantitative and analytical capabilities
  • Demonstrated domain expertise within Human Resources and/or Financial Planning & Analysis and/or Internal Finance
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement new metrics / analytics programs and processes from scratch
  • Must be comfortable configuring and maintaining systems to support operations. Hands-on experience with Workday HCM, Tableau, PPT, or other data management and visualization tools is highly desirable
  • Desired capability level with Excel and PPT = Mastery. Deep expertise in other data analysis and processing tools is highly desirable
  • Ability to rapidly learn and develop a superior understanding of the organization’s goals, objectives, and culture
  • Proven ability to partner with Senior Business Leaders to solicit input on metrics / analytics / reporting initiatives and build consensus behind a recommended approach
  • Exposure to diverse organizations and environments (entrepreneurial start-ups to large, global firms)
  • Exceptional project management and execution abilities
  • Ability to set and manage competing priorities across several initiatives
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to present ideas in business-oriented manner and communicate with leaders
  • Exceptionally self-motivated and driven
  • Must be able to delegate effectively while also be willing to work alongside team members to complete deliverables and meet operational milestones

The base salary range for this position is:
$140,000 - $170,000
Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits as well as the potential for an annual bonus consideration.
