Geologist Job at APTIM
Our Dallas, Texas office is seeking a full time Field Geologist or Environmental Scientist with experience in the implementation and oversight of spill response environmental site investigations and remedial activities. The successful candidate will possess at least two plus years experience participating in various scopes associated with environmental site assessment, technical report preparation, and demonstrate a willingness to contribute to a long-term collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Provides technical support to Retail Petroleum client in a variety of work scopes, including but not limited to: environmental site characterization, monitoring, permitting, regulatory reporting, UST system closure assessment, Phase I and II due diligence, and UST system inspections.
- Collects and interprets soil, groundwater, and air samples.
- Executes field work, maintains project schedule and budgetary goals, and supervises contractors.
- Conducts work independently or as part of a project team, with the ability to adjust to rapidly changing site conditions or client requirements.
- Executes work in a safe and conscientious manner by adhering to established health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conducts UST pulls and replacement oversight, PST closure assessments, small quantity spill response and cleanup for major Retail Petroleum Client, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Phase II Environmental Site Investigations in accordance with ASTM Standards and client requirements.
- Supports environmental permitting and permit compliance projects.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Biology, Hydrology, or related scientific field required.
- Must have 2 to 4 years of applicable experience.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
