Grant Contract Coordinator Job at Stroudwater Associates
POSITION SUMMARY
The Grant Contract Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with state triad team members, managing grant budgets and work plans, maintaining and expanding the relationships with existing state channel partners and leading growth efforts around expanded and new state channel relationships. This position will be located in Portland ME or Nashville TN with a remote option being a possibility.
SCOPE
The Grant Contract Coordinator (“Coordinator”) provides focus and expertise to augment the work of the existing Stroudwater state relationship managers (“Triad”). This position collaborates with the Triad team relative to the individual state contracts and a point of contact monthly with each existing state contract. The Triad will work with the Coordinator on developing agendas, plans and initiatives that are responsive to the needs of each state. The Coordinator will monitor performance against each grant award and lead initiatives around providing states with new opportunities and best practices across all the state relationships in conjunction with the full triad groups.
The Coordinator will work across all states and all service lines and with the triad team to provide needed solutions for each grant. This position may play a role in some consulting engagements to learn more about what Stroudwater does and also to broaden their relationship with the states.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Coordinator will be expected to perform their duties without significant daily oversight. The Coordinator will participate in developing quarterly, annual and multi-year work plans for each grant, and provide management and monitoring of grant workplan execution as scoped in collaboration with each Triad team or Stroudwater Senior Leadership.
Quarterly work plans for each grant will ensure that Stroudwater has:
· Adequately sustained the relationship in the prior quarter
· Responded appropriately to calendar milestones, deadlines in the prior quarter
· Satisfactorily addressed agenda items and priorities from the prior quarter
· Defined a workplan for the upcoming quarter(s) that includes state feedback, next steps from prior meetings, planning for upcoming calendar milestones
· Successfully collaborated and coordinated with each state team to ensure regular communication with states between quarterly team calls and appropriate meeting follow-up and pre-planning
BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION
BS, BA or similar degree required or a combination of education and experience equivalent. Professional credentials and certifications a plus.
EXPERIENCE
FLEX and SHIP grant expertise or other healthcare grant experience
State Office of Rural Health (“SORH”) experience
Healthcare industry experience
SPECIAL SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
· Self-starter eager to develop a new process for grant and relationship management and growth
· Interested in making a difference, joining a high performing team
· Good communicator, able to work in a fast-paced environment
· Good collaborator, able to convene and coordinate teams
· Excited about co-leading growth opportunities
· PMP certification ideal (partial, in process or planned)
