American Asphalt Paving Co. and Wilkes Barre Materials, LLC have immediate openings for high-quality, skilled HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANICS at our Shavertown & Plains, PA locations.

Responsibilities:

• Preferably 3 years direct experience working on heavy construction equipment.
• Inspect, Diagnose, and Repair equipment such as pavers, dozers, excavators, loaders, etc.
• Test the overhauled equipment to ensure that it is operating efficiently.
• Perform routine, preventative maintenance and inspections on the equipment, and prepare/maintain inspection & maintenance records on each piece of equipment.
• Perform all work according to OSHA and American Asphalt Safety Policies.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
• All employees must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening test, and be willing to submit to, and pass, random drug/alcohol testing.
• Salary commensurate with experience.
