Fors Marsh is seeking a self-motivated individual for a full-time Help Desk Support position to join our team in Arlington, VA. This individual would work in supporting the organization with the maintenance of computer hardware and software, support office users, and other project related work as assigned. This job is best suited for an individual with experience in troubleshooting computer related issues and balancing a wide range of helpdesk support tickets and non-ticket related tasks.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate, diagnose and troubleshoot incoming support tickets in a timely fashion.
- Provides case status updates to management and end-users.
- Regularly respond in an informative and concise way to service issues and requests
- Responsible for maintaining current technology inventory including software licensing.
- Provide support services to employees with technical problems and IT issues involving laptops, VPNs, Printers, VoIP, or network related services.
- Perform and maintain installation of new equipment in an office environment.
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
- Repairing and replacing equipment through vendor as necessary
- Provides multiform support for office and personnel across various taskings.
- Supports and maintains effective relationship with Fors Marsh employees in an efficient and professional manner
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
- Providing technical support across the company (in person, over the phone, or remote session)
- Setting up accounts for new users
- Testing and documenting procedure of new technology
- Possibly training more junior staff members
- Provides timely resolution of problems including issues escalated from more junior staff.
- Monitors and tracks logs from desktops, laptops, network, etc. for review.
- Responsible for initial alert and troubleshooting in the event of security breach or systems failure.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Associate's degree equivalent combination of education & experience
- Minimum of 4 year of IT Help Desk experience.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10, Server 2008r2 and 2016 environments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and admin console.
- Knowledge in remote access, LAN/WAN networking including routers, switches and firewalls are desirable.
- Strong knowledge Adobe Pro, and Creative Cloud, Office 365 Suite.
- Knowledge of Mac OS desirable.
- Knowledge and Active Directory account management.
- Experience with folder permissions and inheritance desirable.
- CompTIA or Microsoft Certifications desirable.
- Worked with SharePoint/TEAMS guest creation and permissions.
- Some knowledge of MDT, PDQ, powershell, CMD.
- Ability to work in-office, 8:00AM to 4:00PM or 9:00AM to 5:00PM at our Arlington, VA corporate office
- Ability to cover 1-2 weekends a month for critical tickets only
- COVID-19 vaccination required for any employees present in the office
- Must be a US citizen and consent to a full background check.
- Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance

Salary: 60,000-75,000 USD
Location: Arlington, VA. Hybrid, 2 days a week remote.
