Histology Technician
Shift: PRN
The Histology Technician works under the general direction of the shift supervisors and Pathologists. Prepares tissues (including necropsy, cytology, frozen section procedures) for microscopic examination by the Pathologist; prepares required stains and reagents for assigned procedures; maintains records, files, supplies, equipment, and charges for assigned area; trains new personnel in job duties, and assists in other areas of the Laboratory as assigned.

Education & Experience:
- Two year Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College/University preferred or a Graduate of an approved Histotechnology program approved by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCO) or equivalent agency.
- At least 1 year of experience - required
Licensure & Certifications:
- Certification or eligible as a Histotech by ASCP or equivalent agency
