Description
The Grove, located just outside Nashville and minutes from historic Franklin, is a 1,100-acre gated community offering a distinctive private club lifestyle dedicated to providing exceptional member services and the most comprehensive amenity and recreational offerings in the region. We are currently seeking an accomplished, self-motivated, and detail-oriented professional to join the team.

This position will be responsible for greeting guests and escorting them to their tables in an upbeat, friendly, and courteous manner. The host/hostess will also answer phones, facilitate member requests, utilize the table management system, and handle incoming reservations.

Essential Functions

• Establishes and maintains professional relationships with members and coworkers.
• Always displays the highest standards of service, greeting and welcoming members in a polite, gracious, and enthusiastic manner.
• Demonstrates professional conduct and proper etiquette.
• Greets guests and escorts them to the appropriate table in accordance with established guidelines and standards.
• Assist with daily administrative work as assigned by the restaurant manager.
• Remains informed of the restaurant’s menu items and daily specials.
• Consistently checks on the members to ensure satisfaction, comfort, and verify accuracy of services provided; adjusts and corrects as needed while communicating unresolved service flaws to his/her supervisor.
• Handles multiple priorities and exercises good judgment when dealing with guest situations and complaints.
• Attends daily line-ups meetings and training when requested, to ensure proper skills necessary to perform duties.
• Maintains compliance with applicable health, safety, food handling, and hygiene codes and standards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the Food and Beverage or Culinary industry
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked work area
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
• Must have open availability and be able to work a flexible schedule
