Housekeeping (Full-Time/Part-Time) Job at The Hideaway Hotel
Job Summary: Our beachfront hotel is looking for a Seasonal Part-Time Housekeeper to help maintain our guest rooms and common areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all guest rooms and public spaces are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
This is a seasonal position that requires availability during weekends, holidays, and peak season.
We are a growing business with multiple hotels on the Jersey Shore and are looking to grow internally. There are opportunities for this role to grow into a long term position.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean guest rooms, including changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms
Replenish guest room supplies, such as toiletries and towels
Clean public spaces, including the lobby, hallways, and common areas
Ensure that all cleaning equipment and supplies are properly maintained and stored
Respond to guest requests and complaints in a timely and professional manner
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department
Follow all hotel policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety
Other duties as assigned by the housekeeping supervisor or hotel management
Qualifications:
Previous housekeeping experience preferred, but not required
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to lift and move heavy objects, such as furniture and cleaning equipment
Good communication skills and ability to interact with guests in a professional manner
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak season
Working Conditions:
The work environment may be fast-paced and physically demanding
The job requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods of time
The job may require exposure to cleaning chemicals and other hazards
