Overview

This position ensures that assigned public space and guest room floors are kept fully stocked and clean to provide support to Guest Room Attendants while maintaining Westin standards and exceeding our guests expectations

Responsibilities

• Stock linen closets with amenities and supplies for room attendants; may include taking supplies directly to room attendants.
• Retrieve soiled linen and garbage from Guest Rooms and Room Attendants carts and/or storage closets to dispose of through the linen chute. (stripping rooms for the room attendants)
• Maintain hallways, reporting maintenance issues and special cleaning assignments (i.e. carpet cleaning, etc.)
• Clean stairwells, elevators and hallways free from debris and room service trays
• Complete daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly projects as assigned by Housekeeping Managers/Supervisors
• Deliver guest amenities or special requests to guest rooms (i.e. rollaway beds, baby cribs, refrigerators, toothbrushes/toothpaste)
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Ability to work flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push or pull heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Lifting may include equipment or furniture weighing up to 100 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from supervisor.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively with fellow associates and guests in person or via cellular telephone/radio
