HR Specialist (Credentialing)

40 Hours Weekly, Full Time, Dayshift

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Specialist (Credentialing) is responsible for tracking, maintaining and participating in the credentialing all non-employed, non-advanced allied health professionals (NAPS). This position is responsible for maintaining all personnel files for contract employees working within the facility in order to meet Joint Commission regulations. Additionally, the HR Specialist is responsible for tracking, verification, data-entry, and expiration communications required for all licensure and certifications within the hospital.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The following is a summary of the major functions of this individual's job. He or she may perform other duties, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below, and specific functions may change from time to time.

1. Tracks, updates, and assists in credentialing of all non-employed, non-licensed allied health professionals (NAPS). Communicates with NAPS personnel to ensure compliance with Join Commission.

2. Attends applicable regulatory reviews as required related to NAPS processing.

3. Tracks and ensures personnel file compliance with all contract and temporary staff to ensure Joint Commission guidelines are met. Advises Human Resources leadership of any personnel files which are out of compliance.

4. Maintain Excel spreadsheet containing licenses and certifications. Communicates with management staff regarding expired license and certification requirements. Conducts primary source verification of all required licenses within BH Louisville and BH LaGrange. Maintains copies of all required certifications. Coordinates and tracks in Workday

5. Verifies all new employee paperwork for accuracy related to license and certifications.

6. Maintains record keeping for all contract staff.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Associates degree required. In lieu of degree, a combination of education and experience may be acceptable.

One or more years of experience as an HR specialist or department administrative support role preferred.

Very strong skills in MS Office software – Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint specifically required.

Workday experience is preferred.
