DESCRIPTION: This role will own all things talent: recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, developing, and so much more. They will work directly with the Business Owner as they develop new systems and ideas to improve the team member experience. They must love developing and working with large teams and individuals. They must enjoy the challenging times and are excellent at celebrating the good times. They must be organized, detail oriented, and a ‘people person’. This role will be an essential piece in building the culture of our business, celebrating the team, coaching and disciplining, and all other things ‘people’. They may oversee our marketing and community impact role. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, desire for routine, organization, flexibility, and ability to coach and discipline when needed. Top candidates will be comfortable managing in the grey area and step into new responsibilities as they come.


BROAD RESPONSIBILITIES

- Team Member Journey

  • This role will own the entire team member experience from start to finish.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, developing
  • This role will constantly analyze the current state of each system and continue to improve the experience for all team members.

- Culture

  • Celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, team member of the month, team days, scholarships, and many other events.

- Office Responsibilities

  • Review payroll, invoices, donations, emails, phones
  • Create and manage budgets
  • Review and audit vendors
  • Order uniforms and track inventory
  • Order restaurant equipment

- Compliance

  • Research, track, and maintain certifications for team members
  • Ensure restaurant is compliant with all city, county, state, and federal labor laws
  • Ensure we have accurate posters and binders accessible for inspections
  • Correspond with OSHA consultant monthly and maintain OSHA binder
  • Review and respond to all EDD, Insurance, LLC, and City of Carson communication
  • Manage Sedgwick portal and claims
  • Ensure compliance with ACA (health insurance) regulations and administer benefits to team members

PREFERENCES

  • Bilingual in Spanish & English preferred
  • HR certifications (SHRM, CALHR, etc.)
  • Computer fluent and experience on Google Drive, Excel, Email, Calendar, etc.
