Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is seeking a full-time HR Specialist familiar with California state regulations. This position is responsible for managing and carrying out various day-to-day responsibilities supporting the HR and Legal Departments with compliance initiatives. The HR Specialist will be responsible for providing compliance support, including overseeing the implementation of any new compliance requirements and monitoring and updating any existing programs, policies, or procedures. Implementing these requirements often includes interaction with our HR and HRIS teams, Legal and IT Departments. This individual will respond to general policy, procedure, or labor law inquiries as well. Other responsibilities include generating, compiling, and organizing the collection of data, information, and resources for multiple reports as required and assisting with other general projects, reports, and programs as needed. The person in this position should have a minimum of five years of prior general HR knowledge and experience. Compliance experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures leaves of absence are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and agency policy.
  • Maintains all documentation required for compliance with regulations including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA, HIPAA, etc.
  • Knowledge of Disability Insurance
  • Knowledge of relevant California employment disability rules and regulations under ADA and DFEH
  • Monitor Federal/State/Local laws that impact our operations
  • Work collaboratively with Operations, Legal and HR to develop practical procedures in support of compliance policies
  • Create, update and audit policies and procedures to ensure compliance of company, federal, state, or local regulations and applicable employment laws.
  • Create communication and training materials as needed.
  • Assist in the revisions of the company handbook
  • Develop communication materials as well as set up and monitor acknowledgement reporting.
  • Participate in reviews, audits and inquiries.
  • Contribute to the development, review, testing and administration of any compliance training (Harassment Prevention, Accommodating People with Disabilities, Mandated Reporter, etc.). Set up and monitor acknowledgement reporting and notification process to ensure completion.
  • Provide support in the development of outstanding job descriptions.
  • Assist all other department members when needed to accomplish critical projects or meet tight deadlines.
  • Participates as a member of various teams as needed.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of HR experience
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study
  • Valid California Driver’s License
  • Professional Certification In Human Resources
  • SHRM Certification in Human Resources

Pay Range: $65,000 - $120,000 annually

All candidates must be able to:

  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
