Pulses America is looking for a part time Human Resources Associate. This position is flexible & self-paced – requiring between 25-35 hours per week. This position can be remote and work from home.

The successful candidate will report directly to the General Manager and build our operations staff.

The Human Resources Associate will be responsible for:

Hiring & Recruiting

Priority: Essential | Percent of Time: 80%

  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Identify the appropriate recruiting platforms and strategies to build a strong team and talent pipeline.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for job postings, applications, and all hiring functions.
  • Screen applicants, select qualified candidates, schedule interviews, and guide successful applicants through the onboarding process.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all human resource functions: insurance benefits, payroll questions & administration, PTO balances, retirement account management, employee discipline & appreciation, etc.
  • As you begin to build our team, full-time employment can be discussed if desired.

Administrative Tasks

Priority: Secondary | Percent of Time: 20%

  • Assist the corporate office with mail collection, invoicing, and bill payment/management.
  • Assist the general manager with grower settlements, assembly sheets, back-office functions & submitting payment in a timely fashion.
  • All other general administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Travel to our facilities in Northwood and Manvel will be required, only as needed. Not more than once or twice per month.

Qualifications

  • Must be highly self-motivated, self-directed, and comfortable working independently.
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • 2 years’ experience with Human Resource functions required.
  • Associates Degree or certifications in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred.
  • Knowledge of grain elevator operations and agriculture in general is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of current employment laws and regulations is preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $27,500.00 per year
