For the past 75 years, Long Energy, a local family owned business, has been delivering fuel and providing exceptional HVAC services to its customers in the Capital Region and surrounding areas. We are looking for a reliable dispatcher who enjoys a fast-paced environment and wants to be part of a team. The ideal candidate will enjoy a variety of tasks to include the following:

· Schedule appointments for service and create service work orders for customers

· Develop service technician routes and maintain contact with technicians throughout the day

· Modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of customers

· Dispatch service calls to the technicians

· Cultivate strong relationships with technicians and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes

· Assist with customer service inquiries quickly and accurately, by telephone and email, while providing a high level of service and support to each customer.

· Document conversations with customers to track requests, problems, and solutions.

· Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional evenings and weekends.

· Other office duties as required.

Experience and Background:

· Must be highly organized

· Must be detail-oriented, and able to multi-task

· Excellent communication skills with ability to maintain calm, friendly demeanor

· Demonstrated competence in computer usage

· Commitment to quality and accuracy of work performed and continuous improvement

· Demonstrated ability to work well with others and to participate in a team

· Reliability is key for the success of this role

· 1+ year(s) experience in dispatching

· Experience in HVAC industry is strongly preferred
