The Director, Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) position is responsible and accountable for establishing a purchasing solution for Members/Manufacturers/Remedy that will add value within the first year and will achieve full scale within 2-3 years.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspire excitement across the member base for the GPO, and convert that excitement into use of the GPO.
• Responsible for overall program management including membership enrollment, roster management, communications and preparing rebate statements.
• Ensures positive relationships with manufacturers and day to day account management.
• Project Management of assigned initiatives including planning and allocating resources, adhering to budgets, monitoring progress, and keeping stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle.
• Responsible for completing and reporting performance analysis of the program.
• Capture feedback on the GPO and implement ways to continuously improve its offerings and operations.
• Partner with Purchasing and/or the Product teams to enroll suppliers in the GPO, assist in securing supplier buy-in and negotiating contracts.
• Ensure financial value of the purchasing solution for all involved parties.
• Establish and monitor key metrics of success (both financial and non-financial). Develop and ensure execution of remediation plans if/when expectations are not met
• Align with other leaders and teams as needed (e.g., to provide clear, consistent messages to suppliers about Remedy priorities)
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters’s Degree Preferred
• 5 years previous experience in healthcare or related industry
• Ability to travel 10-20%
