Acara Solutions is looking for a Software Engineer for our client located in Fort Bragg, NC
- Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas, and following the software development lifecycle.
- Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
- Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
- Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
- Improves operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
- Updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment, and by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
- Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
- Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Supports and develops software engineers by providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities.
Pay and Benefits:
- The Salary for this position is between $47.00 and $57.00 per hour (Max Pay rate).
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- B.A. or B.S. in computer science or information technology.
- Minimum of 6 years' experience with two or more development languages such as Java, C#, or Ruby.
- Minimum of 6 years' experience as a Software Engineer.
- Minimum of 6 years' experience with computer programming.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Master's degree.
- Skillfully write high-quality, well-tested code and comfortable with Object-Oriented programming.
- Comfortability with Agile methods, such as Extreme Programming (XP), Scrum or Kanban.
- Technical excellence while being open to change when needed.
- Able to commit to travel to client sites to solve their business problems.
- Resilient in ambiguous situations and can approach challenges from multiple perspectives.
- Working knowledge of cloud technology such as AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Java and .NET.
