Position Overview:

This position involves operating machinery used in the production of high-conductance flexible circuits and intelligent wiring systems, adhering to established production and quality standards. The role also entails cleaning and maintaining equipment, inspecting raw materials, and conducting basic quality checks before shipping the finished product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow work orders, set up, operate, and reset specified manufacturing equipment according to customer requirements, established production and quality standards. Notify supervisors of equipment failure or issues and recommend process changes to improve efficiency.

  • Prepare products throughout the production process using safety knives, scissors, and tweezers.

  • Manage WIP inventory and stock, build, and load material onto production fixed equipment using carriers and mobile racks. Deliver WIP safely and efficiently throughout the production line and prepare shipments for delivery.

  • Safely operate heavy equipment such as electric pallet jacks and manual pallet jacks.

  • Identify and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.

  • Perform system tracking activities as required by customers and departmental guidelines, including entering accurate data into specified systems for job time and inventory tracking.

  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to supervisors or area leads.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and adhere to prescribed safety regulations.

Contribute to team efforts by achieving related results as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience and Education:

  • Experience in production operations, material handling, or technician roles within a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Punctuality and a professional, positive attitude are required.
  • Ability to identify issues in the production process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, or hearing.
  • Open to flexible schedules, including days, nights, and weekends as needed. Ability to work overtime and adjust schedules on short notice as required.

PPE Requirements:

  • May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes, bump-caps, gloves, hair nets, masks, and clean-room frocks while adhering to prescribed safety procedures.

Physical Demands – Manufacturing Environment

The employee must perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day. The employee frequently uses their hands or fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, pull/push, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods. The employee must lift and move objects weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance, including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment – Manufacturing/Shop Environment

The work environment includes a shop environment with exposure to high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, nuisance dust, and skin exposure to hazardous materials used during the material prep process.
