Cottonwood Canyon Healthcare Center is looking for caring and compassionate LVN (IP) Infection Preventionist to join our Team!

Pay: $40-$45 per hour

Schedule: Full time

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities for Infection Control Nurse
• Ensuring mock surveys are done quarterly.
• Training staff on any new policy and procedures used in the clinics after approval by the governing body.
• Conducts surveillance prevention measures, staff education, analysis and management of data relative to infections.
• Monitors and evaluates quality and appropriateness of program activities to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Manages data collection/analysis/and maintenance for hospital wide infection control and clinical employee health programs.
• Provides support services for facility wide infection control.
• Demonstrate the ability to identify infectious disease processes.
• Survey and investigate epidemiologic events.
• Use evidence based practice and regulatory requirements to prevent and control the transmission of infectious agents.
• Maintain collaborative accountability for ensuring Employee Health and Safety is met.

Qualifications:

• Utilize professional communication and management skills to develop policies, procedures and process improvement initiatives in compliance with the infection control plan
• Lead and participate in education and research initiatives prevent the transmission and prevention of infectious processes
• Comply with Federal, State and Local regulatory requirements
• Infection Control practices
• Bedside clinical practice and/or infection control practitioner experience within the past 3 years
• Certification in specialized practice area Preferred
