Waitsfield School seeks a dynamic individual to join our staff as an instructional assistant, working throughout the school to support students in classrooms and out of class tutorials. Job responsibilities included supporting students’ academic and social, emotional and physical development, following the lead of classroom teachers and the special education team. Work will include implementation of behavior plans in consultation with a behavior specialist.
Waitsfield Elementary is a community school where students, staff and families work together to make a respectful, engaging and well-rounded learning environment. Position is 7 hours a day, 5 days/week, following the school schedule. Candidates must be collaborative, flexible, even-keeled and enjoy kids. Previous experience with this age group is preferred. Associate’s degree or equivalent required.
