POSITION PURPOSE

The Account Manager works to effectively manage and renew current policies for the agency and quotes new business in the event a producer is not available. .Additionally, the Account Manager works to develop existing accounts with additional lines of business and increased coverage.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

• Responsible for renewal policies as assigned thru the AMS My Expiring Policies
• Makes certain that all policies are written based on agency standards or obtains signed client acknowledgement form
• Identify account rounding opportunities through review of accounts renewing and other marketing lists
• Completes and submits applications and related documentation to appropriate insurance markets
• Process policy changes per agency and company procedures and suspense for follow up as needed thru the account review process
• Accepting, applying and documenting customer payments per agency procedures
• Letters and memos to customers and company personnel
• Process any incoming and outgoing correspondence.
• Process policy changes according to agency and company procedures and suspense for follow up.
• Be available to assist customer with quotes when producers are unavailable
• Responsible for all Policy Change Downloads, confirming accuracy as they apply to the other policies
• May be Responsible to back up the receptionist when needed and answer overflow calls
• Claims submission
• Projects as assigned
