Pay Rate: $16/hr.

Days and Time: Monday - Friday, 8:00am- 5:30pm EST

Job Description for Insurance Follow-Up Specialist:

  • check claim status over the phone (could be a human or automated prompts)
  • check claim status on payer (insurance company's) website
  • check patient eligibility (phone, client system, payer website)
  • The Insurance Follow-Up Specialist will work claim errors in multiple client systems
  • research or “hunt” for missing information in client systems
  • correct denied claims and resubmit to insurance companies
  • file appeals (faxing or on payer websites)

We help Trinity Health by working insurance claims & bills in a variety of ways. Accounts only come to us if something is wrong - so it's your job to investigate and see what we can do to correct it!

Requirements:

Experience Needed:

  • Professional, Hospital, and Insurance Follow-Up experience helpful, but not required

Internet Connection:

  • High speed Internet connection (DSL / Cable) capable of speeds over 100 mbps.
  • Smartphone: Android or iPhone (will be necessary for dual authentication requirement)

Workspace Guidelines:

  • Work area must be quiet and free of distractions
  • Work area must have adequate lighting without glare
  • Desk, chair and work space must be ergonomically correct and designed to safely accommodate the equipment

Work Requirements:

  • 7 year Background check
  • Drug Screen
