INTERIOR DESIGNER

The Interior Designer is directly responsible for the quality, creativity, and delivery of the projects they are assigned, along with client and team satisfaction. The Interior Designer is responsible for overseeing the Jr. designers and assisting in their continued learning and development. A successful Designer will provide design team leadership in all project phases from initial development to completion and assist in the design and documentation of interior spaces.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Interior Design will manage projects with assistance of the Jr. Designers and Design Coordinator
• Manage client meetings and communication upon transition from Architecture Phase
• Conceptualize and sketch design plans
• Research concepts and materials to support design team on technical issues influencing concept development
• Lead client design presentations with assistance from Jr. Designers
• Work within timely schedules to coordinate the completion of tasks through to final project completion
• Approve and oversee all shop drawings and technical packets from Jr. designers
• Tracking and documenting Client or Director/Principal approvals for design selections, materials, and finishes while maintaining project budgets
• Reviewing & Approving Bids with the Assistance of the Director of Design and Bidding Manager
• Managing the Design Installation and Implementation i.e. site walks with Trade Partners and Clients
• Conduct on-site observations and provide recommendations to help streamline ongoing design projects
• Assisting in the creation and implementation of new Design team processes and procedures
• Managing and Reporting of project timeline & status
• Additional Tasks as assigned

IDEAL KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related discipline
• 4+ years' relevant interior design experience
• Ability to lead and manage a team of Jr. Designers
• CAD proficiency required
• Experience with Sketch-up design software knowledge a bonus
• Excellent communication skills, especially regarding communicating an artistic vision
• Extremely organized while also demonstrating the ability to be highly creative, imaginative, and artistic

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
