The expected salary range for this position is between $76k and $120k. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).

Responsibilities:
Kearney & Company has an exciting new opportunity for an Internal Controls Manager to join our team. The Internal Controls Manager will support an Internal Controls project and should be well-versed in OMB Circular A-123. This position will be 100% remote. Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Develop and implement an audit strategy that complies with professional standards and appropriately addresses risks
  • Perform business process internal control assessments (test of design and effectiveness)
  • Facilitate internal control walk-throughs and document the outcome
  • Identify and implement operational efficiencies
  • Develop Mission Action Plans (MAPS) and/or Corrective Action Plans (CAPS)
  • Understand the client’s industry and recognize key performance drivers, business trends and industry developments
  • Perform audit liaison tasks, as required
  • Collaborate to plan engagement objectives, actions, and status reporting
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • CPA, CPA eligible, CGFM, or CIA
    • CPA eligible is defined as having either a Accounting Degree, 150 or more college credits to be able to sit for the CPA exam, studying for the CPA exam, or passed one or more CPA exams
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in areas such as accounting, financial management, internal controls, and/or audit
  • Experience in one of the following areas: Grants Management, Insurance Management, or Internal Controls
  • Ability to obtain a clearance (US citizenship required)
