Job Description:
Candidate must be able to lead large cross-functional teams in the deployment of enterprise-wide projects and programs, directing teams of internal staff and external vendors in delivering business-facing IT solutions.
Must have:
- Ability to manage diverse programs/multiple high-visibility projects at once
- Experience with multi-million-dollar projects
Preferable:
- Previous experience executing systems/application implementation projects
- Primary ongoing responsibility is for management of projects.
- Focuses on meeting project commitments, including communications with sponsors, stakeholders, management, and leadership.
- Leads cross functional project team consisting of internal and 3rd party employees.
- Must have: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Must have:
- Experience with HR and Payroll-related applications
- Leads in the planning, implementation and introduction of projects for new systems and technologies,
- as well as continued effective maintenance of detailed project plan and charter
- Must be able to create project plans to fit stakeholder and customer needs and deliver within budget on desired outcomes
- Must be able to perform project tracking through clear and concise status reports and time management reporting while proactively identifying potential risks
- Has direct responsibility for project budget and resources.
- Accountable for delivery of the project and project deliverables on time, on budget and on scope
- Must be able to manage financials and document/communicate the benefits of the project
- Facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements;
- resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas;
- develop methods to monitor project or area progress; and provide corrective supervision if necessary
- Responsible for assembling the project staff and manage personnel administration of team members assigned to their functional area,
- e. providing input into performance reviews; manage indirect resources assigned to project tasks including consulting resources
- Serve as a central point of contact for the functional managers involved in related business processes;
- work with end users and business unit managers to support applications and/or projects
- Provide management, Steering Committee and PMO with accurate and timely project/team status reports
- Effectively manages selected vendors, reviews their billings and ensures integrity of their deliverables
- Facilitate the definition of acceptability criteria with the project customer / users of the solution
- Guides and oversees all members of the project team in their planning of their tasks
- Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes
- Follow defined, agreed upon project management methodology(s) .
