Title: JavaScript Dev

Location: Baltimore, MD (Remote but possible on site in future (need somewhat local candidate)

Duration: Long-term Contract

Client is SSA

Key Required Skills:

Solid experience with Java Script, Experience in writing code using REST APIs, Knowledge and experience with virtualization platforms

Position Description:

* Applying advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.

* Contributing to the development of new principles and concepts.

* Working on unusually complex technical problems and providing innovative solutions.

* Developing new solutions using JavaScript, and maintaining/updating existing JavaScript code, in the private cloud platform.

* Collaborating with stakeholders and technical teams to understand requirements and determine how to automate and integrate into the private cloud platform while adhering to all applicable policies.

* Working with teams, vendors and consultants to determine strategy for complex system changes, upgrades and implementations.

* Developing configuration and procedural documentation as necessary.

* Designing, configuring and providing administration support for the VMware vRealize Cloud Suite of products which includes vRealize Automation, Orchestrator, Operations Manager and Life Cycle Manager.

* All other duties as assigned or directed

Skills Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field

* 7 years of experience developing solutions in JavaScript

* 5 years of experience writing code to consume REST APIs from commercial software products/services.

* 3 years performing operations, engineering or development functions in direct support of a broad range of infrastructure services including all of the following: Operating systems, virtualization, network, storage, cloud, and cybersecurity

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Required Skills:

* Solid experience with Java Script

* Experience in writing code using REST APIs

* Knowledge and experience with virtualization platforms

Desired Skills:

* Experience with any of the Windows Operating System technologies: Windows Server and Windows Active Directory.

* VMware Certified Professional or some VMware certification.

* Expertise using vRealize Operations Manager, Life Cycle Manager or Code Stream.

* Experience supporting VMware's Site Recovery Manager (SRM).

* Experience developing code that integrates with VMware NSX.

* Adept at working independently and in a team environment.

* Demonstrated experience with delivering technology solutions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven enterprise environment.

* Excellent understanding of change management, testing requirements, deployment technologies and methods, and tools to ensure high availability of systems.

* Self-starter, highly motivated individual who adapts to a dynamic work environment.

* Strong attention to detail with an ability to operate effectively across multiple priorities.

Education:

* Master's degree and 6+ years of experience in a training-related field or bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in a training-related field

* Must be able to obtain a Public Trust

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
