Ideal candidates will be in the Bethesda area, but this position can be fully remote for the right candidate. In this role, you will have the chance to work with multiple clients while honing your skills in financial analysis and reporting. [Remote] Junior Accountant (nonprofit and/or public accounting exp. req.) Responsibilities

• Oversee various client engagements and respond to inquiries
• Perform bank reconciliations and process journal entries
• Prepare client financial statements including revenue and expense accruals
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• File and maintain client records and adhere to client confidentiality policy
• Ensure compliance with reporting within government guidelines
• Employ new financial technologies for clients
• Prepare client financial reports and ad-hoc reports for client delivery
• Create and sustain financial data in various accounting platforms
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of client deliverables
• Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems

[Remote] Junior Accountant (nonprofit and/or public accounting exp. req.) Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience required
• Full-cycle accounting experience required
• Public accounting and/or nonprofit accounting experience required
• Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIFS) required
