The Junior Buyer is responsible for purchasing all components necessary to construct Stonel product.
The position is responsible for non-inventory purchases and will work closely with the Engineering department to facilitate quotation, support, and purchase of electronic components.
The Junior Buyer will also act as a backup for the Purchasing Coordinator.
Responsible for quotation and PO follow up.
Consults with Engineering on a regular basis to ensure accurate quotation and purchase of components.
Expedites deliveries as necessary.
Monitors and improves supplier KPI’s like OTD, payment terms, etc.
Maintains accurate records of quotations and PO’s.
Provides regular status updates to Purchasing Coordinator regarding workload and potential problem areas.
Develops strong business relationships with supplier base.
Assists with logistics as necessary.
Conducts supplier reviews as required by QMS.

To succeed in this role you will need
Associate Degree or equivalent work experience
Excellent client management and business literacy skills
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Manage multiple conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
Work in environment with international objectives
Ability to understand issues domestically and internationally and communicate effectively with clients
Flexible and available to interact with suppliers as required
Knowledge of Microsoft products like Outlook, Excel, and Word
