We are looking for an experienced lead cook to manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders and supervise food prep and cooking. Our lead cook has the flexibility of creating specials and an expanded menu along in addition to pizzas. Candidate will establish portion sizes and price menu items in collaboration with the owner. Candidate will schedule kitchen staff shifts and adjust schedules as needed. Kitchen staff will be trained in prep work and food plating techniques. Our lead cook will maintain inventory control, store food products in compliance with safety practices and maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area. Upward mobility in pay available.
Requirement and skills include proven work experience as a kitchen manager or lead cook, hands-on experience with planning menus and ordering ingredients with a knowledge of a wide range of recipes. Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations. Need excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment. Certification from a culinary school helpful but not necessary.
