Labor & Delivery Unit Registered Nurse (LDR RN) Position Details:

• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Immediate openings
• Location: Bellevue, WA
• Facility Type: Hospital
• Shift & Schedule: Full-Time, 12-hour Day/Night shifts

As a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Registered Nurses are responsible for the care of patients during labor and delivery, recovery, and postpartum
• Assessment of the laboring patient including identifying alterations in the normal labor process
• Cares for patients and conducts Maternal-Fetal Assessment.
• Provides nursing support to laboring patients, utilizing pharmacological and non-pharmacological pain management.
• Provides stabilization and transition of the normal newborn at delivery.
• Circulates and scrubs for Cesarean Sections.
• Cares for the post-surgical patient. Provides care to the patient with regional anesthesia.
• Provides care to High-Risk maternity patient and assist in infant stabilization
• Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

A few must-haves for Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and active RN license in Washington state
• Fetal Monitoring education
• Minimum two (2) years of current Labor & Delivery RN experience, circulating C-sections, advanced fetal monitoring, and taking care of high-risk antepartum patients
• BLS certification
• Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
• Demonstrated clinical proficiency, critical thinking skills, good and compassionate communicator
• Two (2) positive work references
• Successfully complete and pass a background check and drug test
• NRP Certification within 4 weeks of hire
