Laborer Job at Penn Pallet, Inc.
New Starting wage!!! Penn Pallet is currently hiring for a 1st shift floater. This employee would work in several different departments including: pallet repair, pallet assembly and pallet tear down. Offering a great starting rate $17.25 / hour with weekly production incentive. You control the incentive pay as it is based on your performance. This employee would have the following responsibilities / job duties:
- Pallet repair consists of recycling pallets that come into the facility, removing old material from a pallet and replacing that with new, useable material to ensure the pallet is a useable, saleable product.
- Pallet assembly consists of reading a blue-print, using lumber material to assemble client pallets.
- Pallet tear down consists of pushing pallets through a saw to cut through nails and stacking / sorting lumber for pallet repair.
Knowledge & Skills
- Ability to follow guidelines set by manager
- Ability to lift, twist and bend for duration of shift
- Ability to utilize tools such as pneumatic nailer, hammer, crowbar, saws
- Ability to access visual the repairs needed on a pallet
- Willing to work in varied temperatures
- Ability to work at a pace that is productive
Education & Experience
- Experience in wood industry helpful, but not needed. Willingness to learn position
