Percheron is currently looking for an experienced Land Acquisition Professional local to Los Angeles CA area
Must be willing to work in the client office on a 5-day work week. Hybrid work situation could be possible at a later date.

• Establishes and maintains professional relationships with surface owners, local governmental officials and agencies
• Negotiates terms and drafts surface agreements, including surface use agreements, pipeline rights-of-way and easements
• Settles surface damages and ensures necessary access to company assets
• Applies for and secures necessary permits, encroachment/excavation and provides notifications to governmental agencies, surface owners and other authorized organizations
• Develops creative and comprehensive reimbursement agreements for line location/removal
• Networks with other client business units on regional land issues as needed
• Provides support during due diligence, acquisition, and divestment of properties within asset portfolio
• Acts as a liaison between client organization and private/public organizations

• Four (4) or more years of experience performing land, permitting and/or right of way acquisition.
• Manage multiple projects independently with strong organization and analytical skills in a fast-paced environment
• Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
• Thorough understanding of surface use agreements, easements, pipeline ROWs, oil & gas contracts, surface and mineral titles, and gov't laws/regulations related to pipeline operations
• Able to conduct internal title research and external title research (online) with no supervision
• Able to work well in a team environment or in an individual role
• Must demonstrate a high level of proficiency with a personal computer, and related Microsoft programs
• Graduation from a four-year college or university with major course work in a related discipline or a combination of formal training and related education is preferred.
• Active CA Real Estate License preferred
