We are growing our team and are seeking to add an experience Landscape Maintenance Estimator for our Panama City Beach office location.

The ideal candidate would be open and available to spending 2-4 weeks in our Corporate office location in Slidell, LA training with the Senior Estimating team.

As a Landscape Maintenance Estimator, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient summation of material, labor, equipment and miscellaneous items required to construct any given project or a particular scope of work.

Landscape Maintenance Estimator duties and responsibilities include:

• Managing processes for projects with average size ranging from $25,000 to $100,000 with minimal supervision
• Completion of multiple projects over $100,000 with supervisor oversight
• Occasional travel may be required
• Responsible for Hard Bid / Request for Proposal (RFP) to include the following

-Request current contracts and previous bid tabs on all bidding projects
-Monitor addendums and changes coming from all sources
-Secure necessary bonds and other bid requirements
-Prepare internal communications throughout the bid process

• Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to self-perform or subcontract
• When applicable, coordinate pricing with vendors or subcontractors
• Compare and contrast current bid to existing bids of similar nature and scope
• Full understanding of bid costs, rates of production, and equipment packages
• Complete bid per specifications and present to supervisor for final review
• Submit accurate bids in a timely and effective manner, always meeting deadlines of the requesting party
• Request bid results and submit public records requests for bids submitted
• Post bid review to include conducting research of competitor bids to determine validity of bid
• Document bid pipeline and results in applicable bid logs
• Assist Business Development staff in presentation of estimate to potential clients as warranted
• Coordinate the contract execution and production information with the Contract Administrator
• Complete the handoff meeting to ensure knowledge of the project is shared with key stakeholders
• Successful implementation of goals set by self and manager
• Contribute recommendations to management on potential learning or growth opportunities
• Must be able to effectively manage one's own time and tasks
• Knowledge of cost-estimating procedures and methods is a must
• Knowledge of Bid2Win or similar estimating software is a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management and/or Engineering is a plus, but not required

Landscape Maintenance Estimator Compensation/Benefits include:

• Annual Salary of $40,000 - $55,000 commensurate with experience
