Primary Purpose:
Directs the activities in the Blending tank farm/truck rack. Loading and unloading of solvent chemicals in tankers and tanks, IBCS, hook up the accurate hoses and tanks to offload inbound/outbound bulk inventory. Perform tasks safely and in a manner consistent with Univar Solutions procedures. Communicates information efficiently to internal Univar Solutions team members and external customers in a professional manner which contributes to servicing the customer and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurate handling and management of bulk liquids such as flammable, hazardous, and non-hazardous products and wastes as scheduled or required.
- Follow all OSMs and SOPs required for the job
- Work closely with maintenance, supervisor and site management on equipment issues
- Familiar with TOx (Thermal Oxidizer) troubleshooting
- Familiar with the steaming process of tanks and railcars
- Boiler operation process for steaming vessels
- Able to operate a “Hot Box” for production
- Supervise and remove all flammable, hazardous, and non-hazardous products and waste from line side and move to designated areas.
- Placement and inspection of all containers used in bulk repackaging as needed in support of production.
- Responsible for routine maintenance, safety checklists, inspections and record keeping.
- Assist other team members as needed (including plant trash and recyclables).
- Report all recognized unsafe conditions or acts.
- Performs other related duties as required or requested.

- Train new hires on all of the above and oversee EEs in the area
Experience
- Ability to read, write, count, understand and speak English
- Operate all available equipment (forklift, railcar tugger, fillers, PIT, yard dog, pumps, TOx, etc.) in adherence with training procedures and company policies.
- Must thrive in a team-based organization, detail oriented, and enjoy learning
- Ability to work multiple shifts if needed.
- Strong work history a must
- Good written, mechanical and communication skills
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to respond to emergency response situations
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Ability to operate all warehouse equipment
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years in related roles
