Overview:
An Inside Plant Technician Level 3 must demonstrate an intimate and holistic understanding of how a cable plant operates. They must be familiar with the necessary requirements for most installations within a headend/OTN including the installation of racks, ladder rack, fiber trough, fuse panels, network equipment, fiber optic cable, and coaxial cable and can provide a scope of work assessment for perspective projects. A technician at this level should possess the strong leadership skills required to lead multiple technicians on multiple projects while maintaining quality. It is expected that an Inside Plant Technician Level 3 will have several (5+) years of experience in the field.

Must have the following skills.
Mastered
- Basic Functions of RF and Optical Equipment in the headend and OTN
- Coaxial and fiber optic cable basics and installation best practices
- RF and optical signal basics and signal flow from CMTS to node
- Signal troubleshooting
Experienced In
- Critical infrastructure installations requirements
- Racks, ladder rack, fiber trough, primary/secondary DC power, fuse panels, etc.
Expert
- Catch problems in designs and installations
- Suggest alternate installation ideas to better serve the customer
- Assist in troubleshooting problems both in-person and remotely
- Walk new jobs and create a scope of work
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Work Location: On the road
