Our established assisted living and memory care community in Cook, MN is seeking candidates for a Life Enrichment/Activities Coordinator to join our team.

This position is full-time and primarily day time hours M-F, with flexibility to meet the needs of our events. May require some evenings and weekend hours for special events and activities.

WAGE: Starting at $18/hour

POSITION SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for coordinating and conducting activities and program events. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for calendar creation that is creative
• Gathering social history from residents
• Connecting residents with similar interests
• Encouraging participation of activities

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidates must be hardworking and dedicated to provide an exceptional customer service experience
• Experience with life enrichment, recreational therapy, and/or activities in assisted living required
• Experience with Memory Care is beneficial
• Ability to maintain excellent interpersonal and cooperative relationships with management, staff, residents and residents' family
• Candidates will be subject to a criminal background study
• Recreational Therapy degree preferred
• Ability to plan, organize, and accurately follow through on work activities to meet deadlines as well as to work independently with a minimum amount of direction and/or supervision

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to stand, speak, utilize both hands with repetitive movements, for long periods of time
• Ability to listen and communicate clearly, fluently and diplomatically orally and in writing in the English language
• Ability to bend and stoop using good body mechanics
• Ability to push/pull/lift up to and in addition of 50 lbs. on occasion
